Galaxy Diagnostics has discontinued animal health testing.

At Galaxy Diagnostics, we deeply value your partnership and trust in us. As we continue to innovate and make new flea and tick-borne diagnostic testing advancements, it has become difficult for us to provide both animal and human health testing with the level of service we strive for. While we regret that we will no longer be able to support animal health testing, we are excited that our university partner, NC State and the Vector-Borne Disease Diagnostic Laboratory, offers similar testing to Galaxy and would be happy to support any testing needs.

Are you interested in human health testing?

Did you know that veterinary workers are a high-risk group for vector-borne disease?

A 2014  study published by researchers at Duke University and North Carolina State University found DNA from at least one Bartonella species in 28 percent of veterinary workers compared to none in the control group. The bacterium is spread by ticks, fleas and other insects, and by animal bites or scratches – all common in animal-care settings such as veterinary clinics, ranches, and animal-boarding facilities.
